Double J Productions

Double J is an independent film company based between London and the US, producing narrative work that pushes past the boundaries most independent filmmakers stay inside of.

We began in 2020 with our debut short film, Physique, which was selected for BAFTA and Oscar qualifying festivals and won the Award of Excellence at the Canadian International Short Film Festival. Since then we've launched a pitch competition to support emerging talent, held industry events, and produced our first feature film starring Gavin Casalegno, now selling internationally across the UK, Italy and Germany.

We built a reputation making a feature no one expected us to finish. We intend to keep building it.

Jennifer James, Founder

Jennifer is an actor, writer and producer, and the driving force behind Double J. Her career spans over a decade across the UK and the US, with credits on BBC and ITV productions and a stint at the VFX studio DNEG, giving her a working knowledge of the industry from multiple sides of the camera.
